You know what bugs me?......

.......When people type LOL after every other sentence. You're funny. LOL........I'm just kidding. LOL.........I really hate your guts. LOL......That's nasty. LOL. I mean, seriously, laughing out loud? Are you really? I have my doubts. You're probably not even chuckling. You probably don't even think it's funny. And most of the time you're right. It's not funny, but you're saying it anyway.

Please, friends, don't be obsessive compulsive LOL-ers!!! I beg you!

Fun at the Celery Flats

We went to Celery Flats last night for a walk with our best friends Jes and Robbie. They brought along their daughter, Eva, and their dog, Migo. We had a great time. The kiddos loved being outdoors and taking rides in the stroller and the little car. I love beautiful summer weather!

He loved this car!

One daddy stayed on the bridge to hold babies.....

....And one daddy went in the water with the babies.

Little David didn't really like the water so much.

Cute piggies!

David and I with our friends Jes and Eva.

McDelicious

McDonald's is now selling a wonderfully tasty little treat called Brownie Melts. I was skeptical at first, but I could not have been more wrong. David and I were driving out to my mom's house (a 45 min drive) when I got hit with the strongest craving for chocolate EVER! It was overwhelming. I couldn't think about anything but chocolate, the only thing I wanted to eat was chocolate, I HAD to have some chocolate!!! How was I going to survive the 45 minute drive until we got to her house if I didn't have chocolate?! Any true chocolate lover has had this moment, right?

David said he was thirsty so he planned to hit up McD's on the way out of town. We pulled into the drive thru and to my chocolatey delight they had brownies on the menu! How perfect! I not so patiently waited as we made our way to the last window. When the big moment came I tore into the bag, grabbed my fork and dove into a little bowl of heaven. It was warm, ooey and gooey. It had fudge on the top, fudge on the bottom and hot soft brownie in the middle. I melted. It filled that void in me that only chocolate can. I was in my happy place. And all of this can be yours for a mere $2.

I now propose that we all take a moment of silence for the Brownie Melt.

Well done.

5 hours, 2 doctors, one pharmacy

Little David and I have been sick for close to a week. I am getting worse and he just isn't getting better so today I made some appointments for us to go to the doctor. The last thing I wanted to do today was leave my warm dry house and head out into this dreadful weather, but I really have no choice.

My appointment was at 11am this morning. It's a good thing I went. I have a severe sinus infection. I was given 2 medications - one is a nose spray to ease the congestion and one is an antibiotic. They called it into my pharmacy (Meijer) for me. All I had to do was go pick it up. This was very much appreciated since I feel like poo.

David had an appointment at 2pm. His doctor said that unfortunatly his is just a cold (which could last another 3 weeks) and there is nothing that can be done to help the poor guy. :( He is still miserable. He spends most of his day crying and fussing. He isn't sleeping or nursing well. I did get a big lunch in him though - a yogurt cup and 10 goldfish crackers. That's the biggest meal in 4 days. I was pretty pleased.

Immediately after all of that, we went to Meijer to pick up a few things and get my new medication and pick up a refill of another medication for me. We stood in line at the pharmacy for about forever and a half (apparently everyone and their brother is sick right now), buzzed through the store, waited again at the check out and dashed through the rain back to our car. We had started the car and pulled half way out of the parking space when I remembered that I didn't remember to go back to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine. Rats! I jumped out of the car in the pouring rain, ran back into the store (all the way to the back cuz this Meijer is stupid), waited another eternity in line to get the goods and took back off toward the front of the store. I was almost to the check out when I realized that all the medication in my hand was FREE!

Praise the Lord! I needed a happy moment today.

I'm sick of being sick

I've been sick for 3 days now and it feels like it's been about 3 days to long. I have things to do, places to go and people to see. I simply do not have time for being sick. An my baby's sick too! I can't be sick right now!!!! I have to take care of him. We always end up sick at the same time. No fair, Life!

We both have sinus/head/cold type problems. You know, the stuffy/runny nose, sniffles, sneezing, snot everywhere, coughing, sore throat type stuff. We are single handedly keeping Lysol and Puffs in business right now.

My last few days have consisted of lots of cuddle time, cartoons, board books, blankies, stuffed animals, Lysol wipes and crying. And then there's little David! He's been feeling worse! :) If you think of us, send up a prayer or two. I know we could really use it right about now.......

Easter basket fun

So, my mom got David an Easter basket this year. Nothing in it, just the basket. I just rolled my eyes and laughed when she handed it to him. He's too little for an Easter basket, right? He doesn't even know what it is, right? WRONG!!! He loved it! He wouldn't let it out of his sight on Monday and it's become a permanent fixture in the living room now. Here's how our day went on Monday:

He played with the basket before breakfast:

He cried when I tried to take it away so he could eat breakfast so it came to the breakfast table with us:

Breakfast wasn't enough so he had to have it in bed with him for his morning nap:

The afternoon brought some post-Easter sillies. Somehow, his basket ended up on his head:

Easter cuteness

I love his Easter outfit and I wanted to share it with all of you. Enjoy!

First he posed for pictures:

More posing:

Then he got tired of the tie and tried to take it off:

But he couldn't pull it off so he tried to chew it off:

Success!
