David is holding Titus and reading books to him while I eat breakfast this morning. He's such a good babysitter.

More baby toes
Dear Titus,
Thank you for napping with your toes peeking out of your blanket today. It made for a nice surprise when I came to check on you. You know I love me some baby toes!
Love, Mama
P.S. I tend to take more pictures of your piggies than your face lately. I think I have a problem. :)

Titus tells a story
Titus and I hung out the other night and chatted about his day. That kid is a storyteller! The littlest encouragement spurred on a whole new round of babbles and coos. I cut this little 23 second snippet out of over 6 minutes of video. I told you he was a chatterbox. :)

Applebee's rant
On a whim Dave decided he wanted to treat the fam to Applebee's tonight. We had some errands to run and wouldn't return home until right at dinnertime, which as a parent, is a huge no-no. I choose sanity.
I was pumped when we got to the restaurant and saw it wasn't even half full. Sweet! This means less wait time and a quick meal, right? Yeah, not so much. Our waitress was a super nice girl and very accommodating to our booth full of hungry boys. She hooked us up with drinks and took our order right away - even offering to bring the kids' meals out with the appetizer so they didn't have to wait. That's a sure-fire way to get a big fat tip in the Sagers' book I tell ya. And then....well then we waited. And waited...and waited. Finally the first round of food arrived....and the boys' burger buns were burnt! Three teeny bites in they decided that they didn't like it and they refused to eat. We played with stickers and they nibbled our appetizer until our food came.
Our food was in even worse shape than the boys' meals. Dave's steak was well done when it should have been medium, mine was extra well done instead of med-well and was topped with mushrooms that I had asked to have left off. A manager walked by soon after our food arrived and the poor thing asked how everything tasted. We told her. She flew to the kitchen to order up another meal for each of us.
Waiting for the replacement meal took another half century and the boys had completely lost all patience by the time it was cooked so we doggie bagged it and headed home. An hour and a half in the restaurant and not a one of us actually ate dinner. :/
We got home and let the boys run free and get their wiggles out while we chowed down on our now cold steaks. Mine was still over cooked (Grrrr!), but this time Dave was very pleased...until he got to the bottom of the dish and noticed they left a little something behind from the kitchen..........
HE HAD A STICKER IN HIS FOOD!
Gag. Blech. Yuck. Nasty.
I may never eat at Kalamazoo's West Main Applebee's again.
*Note: The shift manager and the store manager did try to make this right before we left the restaurant by giving us our original steak dinners as well as complete replacement dinners for free. They also gave us a card for 2 free entrees on our next visit. They apologized like crazy and did look as if they felt badly about it. They explained they were having trouble in the kitchen that night and tried to assure us that it was not the norm. I don't know if I believe them.*
