Max had a 2 month check up and vaccinations on Monday. The doctor said he looks great. He's still at the top of the charts for his weight and height. He's coming in at 24" now (which is bigger than 75% of kids his age) and 13lbs 6oz (which is bigger than 90% of kids his age). He got 6 vaccines altogether - it was a total of 3 pokes and 1 oral immunization. He wasn't a fan of those so much. He screamed bloody murder. We're talking red in the face, crocodile tears, couldn't breathe kind of stuff - and that was just the oral vaccine! It got worse when they got to the pokes. And just think...we have to go back in 2 short months for another round...
In other news, he's outgrowing size 1 diapers now. We'll be moving up to size 2's on our next trip to the store. He's also sleeping as much as 8 hours at night before waking up to nurse. I'm getting up once or twice instead of 3 times a night now.

new purse!
I got a new purse last night. It's big. It's brown. It's leathery. David hates it.
That's the end of my story.

Buddies
Every one needs a best buddy in life. David has Dog and now Max has Monkey. We bought him yesterday and introduced them to each other today. It took about 5 minutes before Max fell asleep in his bouncy seat...FOR AN HOUR AND A HALF!!!! I like Monkey.

Feelin' buggy
David and I had a morning all to ourselves late last week. It was such a sweet time. Ordinarily, Taylor would come first thing in the morning and Max would wake up early too, but on this particular morning Tay wasn't coming and Max decided to sleep late. I really enjoyed having my boy all to myself. It's been quite a while since that has happened. David was loving the time with me too. I have not seen him so well behaved in a long time and he was just so laid back. I just love him. :)
I made a special breakfast for us while he pretended to "cook" on the floor with some old pots and pans. I used up the last of the eggs on breakfast and emptied the carton. He had to have it, of course, to pretend to make eggs for himself and Dog. He was really cute about it. He sat down, held Dog in his lap and made him take bites of pretend eggs then he washed Dog's hands and wiped his mouth. *deep sigh* He makes me smile.
Before I threw out the egg carton for good, we had a little fun with it. I made bugs out of the bottom half and David made a bed for the bugs out of the top half. He tipped all the finished bugs on their sides, laid then in the lid and said they were night-night. "Shh! Sleeping" he said. Ok, buddy, I'll try not to disturb your egg carton bugs. I know exhausting it must be to be a styrofoam caterpillar. :)

New book title?
You know the kids book series with "If you give a mouse a cookie..." and "If you give a moose a muffin..."? I have a new title for their next book - "If you give a two year old a sticker...(he will rip it up and stick the tiny little bits all over his Tonka truck)".
Yep. True story.
